LUXURIOUS!!!

So a friend of mine clued me in on a little secret. Online grocery shopping.

I think back and remember the days when after a painful run through the store I would arrive at my parking garage, load the stroller until full, tie the groceries that didn't fit in the stroller to the handle bars, beg Ava to come to the elevator and quit messing around or quit throwing a fit, throughout which I am trying to push and turn a double stroller loaded with 300 lbs of groceries while holding Alex. Knowing in the back of my mind I wasn't able to get 1/3 of my list due to the children....NIGHTMARE!

Ok ladies I use Vons because the delivery fee is often waived through promo's and is less than it's competitor's. It is AWESOME! Imagine browsing the isle's like you did before you had children - but virtually. You can get everything on your list in one trip, no packages have to be opened before checkout to appease whining children, no fights over who sits in front or back of the cart, no child almost falls out of the cart - multiple times, no mashed bread from the feet of the child stuck in the back of the cart, etc.... It is heavenly! You order what you want and can even leave your shopper messages like - I like nice crisp grapes or whatever, you pick your own delivery time, the delivery person comes to your door - puts the groceries on your kitchen counter and YOU ARE DONE! I am serious it is awesome! You all have to give it a try.

What a great idea! I cannot tell you how many smushed loaves of bread I have brought home! I have already gotten online to look at delivery services near me. Thanks!

Hi! I saw your link from Britney's blog and thought I would check it out. (hope you don't mind) Love the blog! I think you are getting way to cool for the rest of us... new awesome apartment, having groceries delivered... next thing you are going to say is that you have a house cleaner and a nanny. (then I would be really jealous!)

That sounds amazing only for me going to the grocery store is one of the few times we get out of the house these days! But that is always cut short by someone and I have to make way too many runs to the store in a week:)

okay, here's my big question - do you tip the delivery guy? I have seriously wanted to order groceries online for YEARS and always been afraid to offend someone. What is the etiquitte?

Kristen - with Von's the drivers don't accept tips. You should go for it.

Hey Natalie,

It does sound less painful. I have a hard time shopping with just Andre, I don't know what I am going to do with two kiddos. I just might follow your advice.

Too bad there isn't a VONS in Michigan. This could really come in handy lately. There is NO way I'm taking 3 kids under 3 1/2 to the grocery store! :)

I appreciate that you're a busy mom of two and everything but PICK UP THE PACE!!! I believe at one point I got a lecture from my sister about how little I was doing on my blog but I'm pretty sure February 20th was OVER a month ago.
